Genesis 3 (New International Version)
The Fall of Man
Serpent (Satan) talks to Eve
Gen 3: 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made.
He said to the woman,
"Did God really say,
'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
Gen 3:2 The woman said to the serpent,
"We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
Gen 3:3 but God did say,
'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
(inkaboutit4u note added--God never said,"and you must not touch it" that was added by Adam or Eve not God.)
Gen 3:4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
Gen 3:5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
Reason Eve ate from the forbidden tree
Gen 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom,
she took some and ate it.
She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Gen 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Adam and Eve Put on the Fig Leaves Why
Gen 3:8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
Gen 3:9 But the LORD God called to the man (Adam),
"Where are you?"
Gen 3:10 He (Adam) answered,
"I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."
Gen 3:11 And he (God) said,
"Who told you that you were naked?
Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
Reason Adam Ate from the Forbidden tree
Gen 3:12 The man (Adam) said,
"The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."
Gen 3:13 Then the LORD God said to the woman,
"What is this you have done?"
The woman said,
"The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
Punishment to the Serpent
Gen 3:14 So the LORD God said to the serpent,
"Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
Punishment to Eve
Gen 3:16 To the woman he said,
"I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

Inkaboutit4u note added---Before this Adam and Eve were equal, same position under God, no one was master over the other. This is a change in the “ Chain of command” over Eve.
This is the first “sinners marriage” with this new change of the “chain of command”. Before no one was married, they were equal. Adam still had sexual freedom as did all creation but Eve sexual freedom is now limited by her male master over her. If a women had no male master over her she also would have sexual freedom as all creation has.

Punishment to Adam
Gen 3:17 To Adam he said,
"Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
Gen 3:18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken;
for dust you are and to dust you will return."
Gen 3:20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living. Gen 3:21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
Tree of (eternal) Life
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said,
"The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.
He must NOT be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
Gen 3:23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
Gen 3:24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Gen 2:
God Made Man
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed a man's body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And the man became a living person.
Gen 2:8 Then the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he placed the man he had created.
God Created 2 Special Trees
Gen 2:9 And the LORD God planted all sorts of trees in the garden -- beautiful trees that produced delicious fruit. At the center of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:10 A river flowed from the land of Eden, watering the garden and then dividing into four branches.
Gen 2:11 One of these branches is the Pishon, which flows around the entire land of Havilah, where gold is found.
Gen 2:12 The gold of that land is exceptionally pure; aromatic resin and onyx stone are also found there.
Gen 2:13 The second branch is the Gihon, which flows around the entire land of Cush.
Gen 2:14 The third branch is the Tigris, which flows to the east of Asshur. The fourth branch is the Euphrates.
Gen 2:15 The LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and care for it.
God First Command to Adam Alone (Eve is NOT there)
Gen 2:16 But the LORD God gave him this warning:
"You may freely eat any fruit in the garden
Gen 2:17 except fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you
eat of its fruit, you will surely die."
Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion who will help him."
Gen 2:19 So the LORD God formed from the soil every kind of animal and bird. He brought them to Adam to see what he would call them, and Adam chose a name for each one.
Gen 2:20 He gave names to all the livestock, birds, and wild animals. But still there was no companion suitable for him.
Gen 2:21 So the LORD God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. He took one of Adam's ribs and closed up the place from which he had taken it.
Gen 2:22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib and brought her to Adam.
Gen 2:23 "At last!" Adam exclaimed. "She is part of my own flesh and bone! She will be called 'woman,' because she was taken out of a man."
Gen 2:24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

Act 10: 3-17
Act 10: 3 One afternoon about three o'clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. "Cornelius!" the angel said.
Act 10: 4 Cornelius stared at him in terror. "What is it, sir?" he asked the angel. And the angel replied, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have not gone unnoticed by God!
Act 10:5 Now send some men down to Joppa to find a man named Simon Peter.
Act 10:6 He is staying with Simon, a leatherworker who lives near the shore. Ask him to come and visit you."
Act 10:7 As soon as the angel was gone, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier, one of his personal attendants.
Act 10:8 He told them what had happened and sent them off to Joppa.
Act 10:9 The next day as Cornelius's messengers were nearing the city, Peter went up to the flat roof to pray. It was about noon,
Act 10:10 and he was hungry. But while lunch was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
Act 10:11 He saw the sky open, and something like a large sheet was let down by its four corners.
Act 10:12 In the sheet were all sorts of animals, reptiles, and birds.
Act 10:13 Then a voice said to him, "Get up, Peter; kill and eat them."
Act 10:14 "Never, Lord," Peter declared. "I have never in all my life eaten anything forbidden by our Jewish laws. "
Act 10:15 The voice spoke again,
"If God says something is acceptable, don't say it isn't."
Act 10:16 The same vision was repeated three times. Then the sheet was pulled up again to heaven.
Act 10:17 Peter was very perplexed. What could the vision mean?
