The Need for Change

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Masturbation is not a sexual sin. Sex and masturbation are gifts from God to us all. This whole page mostly has nothing to do with masturbation at all. The context of most all Bible verses listed here has nothing to do with  masturbation.  This author in reply to a masturbation forums, tells the person to come to this page, which does not even apply to masturbation at all. But you have  to understand that NO ONE in the Bible called masturbation a sin, not one of the 40+ Bible writers nor Jesus said that masturbation was a sin. So it is a very hard job to try to read between the lines to force a man made ideal into the Bible. This causes a person to take a lot of Bible verses out of context to try to prove their point.

Compares some of the characteristics of sin and of masturbation. Is   MASTURBATION a sin? Or a gift from God. Compare and find your own conclusion.

The Cause for a great deal of the sexual negativity in our culture. When did sex became bad?

Who, when, and How Sex Was Made A Sin??

The false Gnostic ideal that sex was a sin or evil was forced into the Christian thinking and is kept there by taking the Bible verses out of context. *******

We all have our own stories of misery and pain, don't we. Still it is a blessing, or else we would've never sought God in our lives. Right? Now, you wonder how you'll ever get out of this mess of yours. It's impossible! Indeed, it is.  Humanly speaking, you're not making a good chance to get out...that's for sure!

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Trudy stories of "misery and pain" " mess of your". This shows where Trudy is coming from. Most people greatly enjoy masturbation and sexual enjoyment.****

Depressing, you think? No, not at all.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Many anti-masturbation people are depressed people and depressed because when they masturbate they beat themselves up and hate themselves. Just like the 16 year old Mormon boy who hated him self because he could not stop masturbating. From the depression and self hatred he killed himself.

Just like the Bible College Student who was studying to be a pastor, but was unable to stop masturbating, so he went to an island in the river and chopped his hand off with an ax. But as a resulted he bleed to death.

Maybe these anti-masturbation teachers wants everyone to take Matthew 5:28 – 30 out of proper context and have everyone chop off their hands and pluck out their eyes. Maybe this is their new plan of salvation to avoid going to hell. Most every anti-masturbation teacher takes these verses out of context and totally misunderstands these verses.

Major contradiction-- Matt. 5:28-30 is totally misunderstood and taken out of context. "look at a women with lust...adultery" Chop off your hands and pluck out your eyes.

They are falling for Satan's trap and turning a gift of God into a curse. They are turning a God given way of escape of sexual release, into hopeless no sexual release and hopeless no way of escape. They are turning the joy of masturbation and sexuality, into a curse and torment. Satan is the assuror of the brethren.******

We may arrive at a point in our life where all hope is gone, dreams are ripped apart, future looks dim, you feel rejected, you've ruined it are at Maximum Tolerance Level... What to do?   Where to go? Wait... there is this lightstream, this fresh breeze, this wonderful touch...of the Master. LISTEN to what He has to say!

Matthew 11:28... Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: nothing to do with masturbation at all.****

Jeremiah 32:17... Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: nothing to do with masturbation at all.******

Mark 10:27... With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God ALL things are possible.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: nothing to do with masturbation at all.******

You were so busy ruining your life that He had to put it to a HALT. If you allow Him, He can do His work in your life.

Hebrew 13:8... Jesus Christ is the SAME, yesterday, today and forever.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: nothing to do with masturbation at all.*******

When He touched people then, He will do it now. He is risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father. Throw all your troubles overboard, give them to the Lord in prayer. You don't have to say a formal prayer, just call upon Him the way you would talk to me. He hears you alright.

Let's have a look at the needed "change".

Outward changes are only apparently good. Temporary relief may be provided, with no lasting effect. Outward change may appear good to others, even to oneself, when in God's sight it is not. External changes that do not follow an internal change of heart, toward God, always move a person further away from the Lord. So change that is socially good may be religiously evil.

Change has to be satisfactory to God, not merely socially good.

For example, a robber may quit robbing people, without repenting from his sin. This is good for society, but if his heart is not changed and he has not asked for forgiveness he is not right with God. Most likely he will fall back into the same thing or worse.

Lust of the flesh = self-directed; self-gratification.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: You need to remember that the word "flesh" has more then one meaning. Galatians 5 talks about the fruits of the flesh or the "sin principal" the part of us that we added to Gods designed human nature. God designed sexuality and said it was very good. Sexual lust and sexual fantasies are an very  important parts of God's sexual plan. If you remove 100%  of sexual lust and sexual fantasies you would have a major problem with God sexual design, it would not work at all.

In Christ we are as Adam and Eve were before they sinned. We only have one law, the law of love. The law of love judges our actions. If you have a sexual fantasy, then judge it on the law of love. Is it a loving fantasy? If yes, then it is ok. If it is unloving, unkind, then it is bad.

Jas 2:12 - So whenever you speak, or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law of love, the law that set you free.

1Co 16:14 - And everything you do must be done with love.

Micah 6:8 The Lord has told you, human, what is good; he has told you what he wants from you: to do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God.

Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Ro 14:20 - For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

1Co 10:23All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

2Co 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Ga 6:15 - For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. Ro 13:9 - For the commandments against adultery and murder and stealing and coveting – and any other commandment are all summed up in this one commandment: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Ga 5:14 - For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Ro 13:8b - … If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill all the requirements of God's law.

Ro 13:10 - Love does no wrong to anyone, so love satisfies all of God's requirements.

Eph 5:28 - In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man is actually loving himself when he loves his wife.

Eph 5:33 - So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Jas 2:8 - Yes indeed, it is good when you truly obey our Lord's royal command found in the Scriptures: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

1Co 16:14 - And everything you do must be done with love.

1Cor 13:13 There are three things that will endure – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love.

1Co 14:1 - Let love be your highest goal,

This author says, "may involve" but also may NOT involve the list Trudy has make up herself. Trudy adds to scripture by adding masturbation to her list.  NOT ONE of the 40+ Bible writers said masturbation was a sin. Jesus never said masturbation was a sin.

God made us and our human nature, including our sexuality and said it was very good, accept for the "sin principal part", which is: unforgiving, selfish, greedy, unloving, bitter, hatred, unkind, no mercy, conceited, provoking one another, envying one another, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, envy, drunkenness, witchcraft, wrath, strife, murders, lies etc.

Take a look at some very sexy verses from the Song of Song. Song of Songs is a very sexy and lusty book in the Bible which most preachers avoid or if they read it they change it all around to try to make it mean something else.  ********

may involve imaginary sexual partners; pornography

inward act of adultery; lack of selfcontrol, masturbation

sexual relationship with a person other than your lawful spouse

perversion of the sexual act; homosexuality, sodomy, bestiality.

All the above does not put out the fire, it only adds fuel to it, and it is not fulfilling.

Sexual immorality, committed by a married person, is a form of adultery. The sexual act is for procreation, and for the benefit and pleasure of the lawful spouses. God created male and female; Adam and gave him Eve as his wife. Sexual relationship is to be shared between lawful spouses, not same sex individuals,

"and not to satisfy the individual's lust, as in masturbation. Masturbation is a perverted sexual act,"

*****Reply from inkaboutit: This is totally man made. Not in the Bible. This is Trudy's  opinion only. This is made up out of thin air and has no Bible support at all.  God designed sexuality and said it was very good. Sexual lust and sexual fantasies are an very  important parts of God's sexual plan. If you remove 100%  of sexual lust and sexual fantasies you would have a major problem with God sexual design, it would not work at all.

What is the definition of fornication or sexual immoral?

Adultery? What is adultery in the Bible and what  is not adultery. You may be surprise. Men in the Bible had a lot of sex with many women in the Bible. Is adultery about sex or is it less about sex and more about betrayal. What are the different Bible definitions? Pro--Con of adultery. (Many links) ******

so is homosexuality, sodomy and bestiality . These are wrong and sinful, in or outside the marriage. It usually is accompanied with lustful thoughts and unclean fantasy. Perverted sex will also stimulate the flesh to more sinful experimentation, as with vibrators, sex toys, pornography and such. Because it is sinful it does not satisfy and it becomes a habitual force in one's life.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: You see Trudy's distorted view of sexuality and anti-bisas. God designed sexuality and said it was very good. Sexual lust and sexual fantasies are an very  important part of God's sexual plan. If you 100% remove sexual lust and sexual fantasies you would have a major problem with God sexual design, it would not work at all.*******

Micah 2:1,3 ... Woe to those who devise iniquity, and work out evil on their beds! At morning light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. (3)Therefore thus says the Lord: 'Behold, against this family I am devising disaster, from which you cannot remove your necks; nor shall you walk haughtily, for this is an evil time.

*****Reply from inkaboutit:  nothing to do with masturbation at all. Masturbation is not evil, it is a gift of God.*******

Leviticus 18:22-24.... You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.

Do not defile yourself with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: nothing to do with masturbation at all. Masturbation is not evil, it is a gift of God*******

If marriage and its intimate relationship reflects Christ and His Bride, then we can know for sure that masturbation and homosexuality do not belong in a Christian life. Christ gave Himself to His Bride unselfishly; He sacrificed Himself. In the same manner we have to consider each other in marriage.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Again Trudy adds to the Bible. Nowhere does it say masturbation should not be part of a Christian's life. Nowhere in the Bible. Totally man made not from the Bible. Masturbation is not evil, it is a gift of God.*************

Christians have to discipline themselves and if you are not disciplining yourself you will feel guilty.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Again, Trudy, adds to the Bible. "you will feel guilty" Where does it say this in the Bible? Nowhere. Another reading between the lines.*****

"Guilt feelings are the results of sin."

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Again man made conclusion.  You can feel guilty over many things totally because of wrong teaching that you have had. Guilt is mostly taught to you. Feeling guilty about something does not conclude it to be right or wrong.  Since nowhere in the Bible does it say masturbation is a sin, but, they tell you that it is a sin and make you feel guilty and then turn around and say ,"see you feel guilty, so, that must mean masturbation is a sin." Totally man made. Man made circular reasoning.*****

I am glad that you're reading this writing. Hopefully your conscience is bothering you, so you will desire to change.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Trudy has shown nothing in the Bible that said masturbation was a sin. Why should you feel guilty, just because she told you to feel guilty.*******

Sin separates us from God, and so does the lust of the flesh. Committed sin and addiction to lust cannot always be blamed on satan. Neither can sexual fantasizing. You can make choices, but once you have allowed sin, satan will reinforce this and add his trap. In the same manner, once you have rejected sin and satan, the Lord will add strength and power to His follower.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Masturbation is not a sin. God designed sexuality and said it was very good. Sexual lust and sexual fantasies are an very  important part of God's sexual plan. If you 100% remove sexual lust and sexual fantasies you would have a major problem with God sexual design, it would not work at all.*******

Your body, soul and spirit belongs to Him. Your body (including your mind) supposed to be a temple of the Holy Ghost. So, if you live with lust, you are demeaning His temple.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: What if you are thirsty and you lust for water, or lust for food, or lust to go to the bathroom, or lust to sleep, or lust to make money so you can live, or lust for a pain drug so you can get rid of pain, or lust for clothes to keep you warm, Sexual lust is also a gift from God and a need for us. Just that each person may have different levels of sexual desire or lust because of the level of hormones in their God designed body.

In 1Cor 6 where Paul talks about the body being the temple, the context was, he was comparing it to the Corinth pagan temple which had 1000 to 2000 pagan fertility god worshippers prostitutes to seduce men and women to come and joint them sexual in worship to their pagan god and get the promise from their god to get good farm crops. They were  using sex to worship the fertility god deity and praising that deity for sex and hoping that deity would provide them good fertile  farm crops. If the women got pregnant (sexual union of a Christian and pagan) they would offer that baby as a human sacrifice to the pagan deity god. This is fornication.

I Cor 6:9 and Tim 1:9-10 Greek Study:

What is "sexual immorality"

I know you don't want to do this, you are weak and you seek help from the Lord, but you also have to make effort yourself.

Prayer and meditation on God's word is much needed, but it is not all. You have to become active in fighting this spirit of lust in the power of the Holy Spirit. First, you need to know that Jesus Christ is your Savior, having confessed your sins and are cleansed in His Blood of Christ. Secondly, become obedient to His word in waterbaptism by immersion, as in Matthew, 28:19 and Mark 16:16. Jesus Himself was our example. Seek the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the speaking in tongues. Only Through Him can you be a conqueror and overcomer, see 1 Corinthians Chapters 12, 13, 14.

Let us examine some of the scriptures:

1Corinthians 6:18....

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside his body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Out of context, nothing to do with masturbation at all.  Trudy has the wrong definition of sexual immorality or fornication, it has nothing to do with masturbation.

I Cor 6:9 and Tim 1:9-10 Greek Study:

What is "sexual immorality" ********

Romans 1:26,27....For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which is due.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Out of context, nothing to do with masturbation at all. Masturbation is not a vile passion it is very good,  healthy, and has many benefits for you and is a wonderful gift of God to us.  The context of Romans 1 is these people are God haters and worship another god and one of those gods is a fertility god and they would do sex acts to worship this fertility god of their's, so they would get the promise of good farm crops. Compare Num. 25: 1,9 to 1 Cor 10:8  God killed 23,000+ because they used sex in the worship of another man made god deity and gave that deity praise and glory for making sex and giving them good farm crops.******

1 Corinthians 6:9.... Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, (check a few dictionaries for its meanings).

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Out of context, nothing to do with masturbation at all.  Trudy has the wrong definition of sexual immorality, it has nothing to do with masturbation. Also this change Trudy plan of salvation. We are saved by Jesus alone, God grace alone, not by our works of righteous. Our righteousness is as filthy rages. Our purity and  righteousness is because of Jesus alone, not ourselves. Unrighteous (unsaved), were those pagan worshipper using sex to the glory and worship to their pagan fertility god.

I Cor 6:9 and Tim 1:9-10 Greek Study:

What is "sexual immorality"

It is very clear that any sexual sin is an abomination to the Lord. There is no hope and no outcome for anyone who wants to continue in this situation. But, if you recognize this sin in your life and you want to be clean and free of this sinful lifestyle, there is HOPE, FORGIVENESS and HEALING. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We all have to come to the Lord for forgiveness and healing of our souls. Jesus Christ gave His life as a ransom for our sins; for my and your sins. No matter what kind of sin we have been involved with.

*****Reply from inkaboutit: Trudy's salvation plan is Jesus plus anti-sex. Trudy adds to the salvation plan, works. Is Trudy  working her way to heaven like the Pharisees were doing?******
