Thank God For Sex Project is a COMMUNITY BUILT website filled with videos and written stories of individuals who’ve experienced religious sexual shame and who later learned that God never intended for them to feel that way. In their own words they tell stories of how, over time, they discovered a new way to relate to their bodies, sexuality and God.      http://www.thankgodforsex.org

How to escape the prison of sexual shame

Published on Jun 11, 2014

We're hitting a fierce target this week: sexual shame.

Why?

Because shame is a silent killer of female desire.

I believe it underlies much of the anxiety, misery and numbness in the female body.

The great news is that sexual shame can be released.

But most women I talk to share that they can't quite get a handle on how to get out it...

That's a big deal, because you've probably experienced shame around your behavior, your sexual choices, your clothing, your make-up, your desire and your passion.

Shame is like an invisible prison that none of us deserve to be in.

That's why in today's Vlog, I'm sharing with you the anti-dote to shame, the invisible bar breaker: and it's not what you think.

So If you want to melt down any of that hardened shame inside of you then check out this week's Vlog above

If you can think of anyone in your life who can benefit from being more free, more herself, please share this video with her.

For your pleasure,
Layla

5 Natural Aphrodisiacs to Rock Your Love Life

Recipe is on my blog below the video, but I'll copy here:

1.       CREATE THE BASE: – 1 cup raw cacao powder – 1/4 cup of finely powdered cashews or pine nuts Mix together and add:

2.       – 1/4 cup melted cacao butter

3.        – 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

4.       – 1/4 cup raw honey/agave OR melted palm sugar to taste (you may prefer it sweeter) This should make a liquid consistency of a smoothie.

5.       If it’s too dry, add more coconut oil OR sweetener, if it’s too wet, add more cacao powder or nuts until you get the right consistency.

6.       2. ADD SOME HERBS: Mix and match the below for your own special aphrodisiac recipe.

7.       Rhodiola for blissful and high feelings.

8.       Shilajit for power and energy.

9.       Damiana for relaxation and pleasure.

10.    Shatavari for lust and passion. Add either: – 1/2 tsp of Rhodiola OR

11.     – 1/2 tsp of Shilajit OR

12.    – 1/2 tsp of powdered Damiana O

13.     – 1/2 tsp of Shatavari

Yes, I noticed a difference when I took maca every day for two weeks - then something strong kicked in, but as a single dose I haven't noticed a difference. What about you?

Female sexual shame hurts us all | Jennifer Gunsaullus | TEDxPhoenixville  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40riTBK9Qjo

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. While sex is a natural act, a large part of our meaning and experiences around sex is shaped by our cultural upbringing. Female sexuality, in particular, is layered with negative judgments and shame that control women's bodies and minds. The silence around this sexual shame impacts the sexual climate for everyone. Yet there are simple, every day acts each person can do to make a difference to reduce their shame or that of others, and allow for the beauty of human connection.

Jennifer Gunsaullus, PhD, passionately challenges people to sexually think outside the box. As a sociologist, sexuality speaker, and relationship & intimacy counselor, she creates safe spaces for the taboo topic of sex. Dr. Jenn is a frequent speaker about healthy relationships, body image, erotic play, sexual health, and mindful sexuality, and she presented a TEDxAFC Women Talk entitled Sex: Mind full or Mindful?

Dr. Jenn is a writer for The Good Men Project, a regular “sexpert” on San Diego morning news, and co-authored the eBook, “Am I Normal? A Woman’s Guide to Female Sexuality.” Check out her over 200 free videos on YouTube in her In the Den with Dr. Jenn video series.

TEDxPhoenixville, the first TEDx event in the Philadelphia region, celebrates the creative, innovative and inspiring work happening right here and all around the world. Our objective is to present thought-provoking ideas via an annual day-long event featuring compelling speakers and performers. Our theme for 2014 was Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll – It’s not what you think!

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
