Bible Sodom and Gomorrah Explained

Sodom and Gomorrah

God design every detail of our sexuality (Sexual human nature) and said it was excellent . (Gen 1:31) Remember sex + human added "sin principle or fruit of the “fresh” in Gal 5 (should be called “fruits” of the “sin principal” instead.)  is bad, not God designed Sexual human nature which is Excellent and design by God.

Sodom's major problem was not sexual or “loving gay thing”. Compare Eze. 16:48, 49 and Isa 1: 10-23 you will see that sexuality is not even mention at all.

Jude was not there,  All Jude can see is sexuality as other church leaders, Jude is just another church leader of the early church time and he is not God. We don't worship Jude. We worship God.

If you take the time and research it fully you will see that God gets very angry when people worshiping other gods and are unloving to others.

The whole law is wrapped up in the law of love, love God, love others as you love yourself.

God understands our God built in  human desires and we give in to human needs, but to turn your back on God and worship Baal pagan fertility gods and be unloving, mean and brutal to visitors or strangers is totally uncalled for.

Also it was more of a mistreatment of unwanted visitors, they majorly did not like visitors or new people to stay in there city. You see in Gen. 19 (see below) that Lot has no problem letting the men of Sodom have sex with  his daughters, to protest the visitors from being brutally mistreated and brutal gang rape. (Not a “gay” love thing at all.)

You also see the men of Sodom mention that they let Lot stay with them. Sound like they wanted to chase away visitor and limit who stay with them. Zero new population growth thing.

Also, Capernaum, , Korazin, Bethsaida will do worst in the judgement day then Sodom and Gomorrha. Read Mt 10 and Luke 10 Israel is worst then Sodom and both will be restored later. (see below)

Jude 1:7 - Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Eze 16:48 - As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, Sodom and her daughters were never as wicked as you and your daughters.

Eze 16:49 - Sodom's sins were pride, laziness, and gluttony, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.

Isaiah 1:10-15

10 Listen to the LORD, you leaders of Israel! Listen to the law of our God, people of Israel. You act just like the rulers and people of Sodom and Gomorrah.

15 From now on, when you lift up your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look. Even though you offer many prayers, I will not listen. For your hands are covered with the blood of your innocent victims.

21 See how Jerusalem, once so faithful, has become a prostitute. (spiritual

prostitute that worships another god, idol worship, see vs 29) Once the

home of justice and righteousness, she is now filled with murderers.

22 Once like pure silver, you have become like worthless slag. Once so

pure, you are now like watered-down wine. 23 Your leaders are rebels, the

companions of thieves. All of them take bribes and refuse to defend

the orphans and the widows. 29 Shame will cover you when you think of

the  times you offered sacrifices to idols in your groves of sacred

oaks.  You will  blush when you think of all the sins you committed in your

sacred  gardens. (Fornication = sex orgy to worship pagan fertility god, one

of the Baal’s pagan gods compare 1 Cor 10:8 to Nu 25: 1-9)

La 4:6 - The guilt of my people is greater than that of Sodom, where utter disaster struck in a moment with no one to help them.

Genesis 19: 1 - 38   4   as they were preparing to retire for the night, all the men of

Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. 5

They shouted to Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night

with you?  Bring them out so we can have sex with them." Genesis 19:5 MSG  The Message

They yelled to Lot, "Where are the men who are staying with you for the night? Bring them out so we can have our sport with them!"

Genesis 19:5 WYC

and they called (to) Lot, and said to him, Where be the men that entered to thee tonight? (Where be the men who have entered into thy house tonight?) bring them out hither, (so) that we (may) know them, that is, by lechery against kind.

Inkaboutit responds----Just reading the verse may be misleading unless you understand the context. This was not a “gay” sexual “love” thing, but instead the opposite of that. This was more of a abusive, hateful, angry, rape , very abusive, very brutal gang rape “made sure you never come back again”, type of thing. This was not a gay “love” thing, but a very abusive, very brutal thing to “teach all visitors a thing” to never come back to Sodom ever again.

Context:--Sodom was a very over crowded walled city with open sewage flowing down the middle of the street. They did not want anyone else to move there, so they would very abusive, very brutal gang up against them and punish them as best they can, like brutal gang rape them.

6 Lot stepped outside

to talk to   them, shutting the door behind him. 7 "Please, my brothers," he

begged, "don't  do such a wicked thing. 8 Look – I have two virgin daughters. Do

with them as  you wish, but leave these men alone,

for they are under my protection." 9 "Stand  back!" they shouted.

"Who do you think you are? We let you settle among us, and

now you are trying to tell us what to do! We'll treat you far worse than

those other  men!"   (see this was not a “gay love thing”)

Mt 11:23 - And you people of Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be brought down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in Sodom, it would still be here today.

Matthew 10:14 If a village doesn't welcome you or listen to you, shake off the dust of that place from your feet as you leave. 15 I assure you, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off on the judgment day than that place will be

Luke 10:1-16 12 The truth is, even wicked Sodom will be better off than such a

town on the judgment day. 13 "What horrors await you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For

if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would

have sat in deep repentance long ago, clothed in sackcloth and throwing ashes on their

heads to show their remorse. 14 Yes, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on the

judgment day than you. 15 And you people of Capernaum,

Genesis 19: 1 - 38 -

1 That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom, and Lot was sitting there as they arrived. When he saw them, he stood up to meet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed low to the ground. 2 "My lords," he said, "come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may then get up in the morning as early as you like and be on your way again.""Oh no," they said, "we'll just spend the night out here in the city square." 3 But Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. He set a great feast before them, complete with fresh bread made without yeast. After the meal,

4 as they were preparing to retire for the night, all the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. 5 They shouted to Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out so we can have sex with them." 6 Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. 7 "Please, my brothers," he begged, "don't do such a wicked thing. 8 Look – I have two virgin daughters. Do with them as you wish, but leave these men alone, for they are under my protection." 9 "Stand back!" they shouted. "Who do you think you are? We let you settle among us, and now you are trying to tell us what to do! We'll treat you far worse than those other men!"

30 Afterward Lot left Zoar because he was afraid of the people there, and he went to live in a cave in the mountains with his two daughters.
